Metal That Lives and Breathes
Not a factory. Not a catalogue. A family tradition of working with pure metal, passed through decades of hands that understood bronze before they understood business.
From Pattern to Patina
01
Pattern & Mould
Each design begins as a hand-carved pattern, pressed into fine casting sand to create a negative impression. This mould is the exact form that the molten metal will take, every surface detail, every edge, preserved.

02
The Pour
Bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, is melted at over 900°C and poured slowly into the sand mould. As it cools, it contracts slightly, pulling away from the sand and taking on the precise contours of the pattern. The density achieved in this process cannot be replicated by any other method.
03
Hand Finishing
Once removed from the mould, each casting is hand-filed and sanded to remove any parting lines or surface roughness. This step takes time. It is the step that separates cast hardware from truly fine hardware, and it cannot be automated without losing the character that makes each piece unique.

04
Living Patina
Bronze is left unsealed so it can breathe and age naturally. Over months and years of handling, it develops a patina, a darkening and warming of tone, that gives each piece a distinct and irreplaceable character. No two RWARE pieces will age identically. That is the point.
Solid metal. No exceptions.
Every RWARE piece is cast from solid metal, no plating, no hollow cores, no compromise. Bronze is our signature and our speciality, but we work in three materials to serve the full range of design intent. Each has its own character. Each is specified with the same standard of craft.
